Woven Grove Autumn Learning Series

Three sessions to deepen your practice in equitable organizational culture, leadership, and shared flourishing through changing times

The conditions in which we work, lead, and pursue equity are changing rapidly. This autumn, Woven Grove invites purpose-driven and equity-centered leaders and practitioners into a series of learning and practice spaces to make meaning of this moment, strengthen our capacity to respond, and cultivate what comes next.

Across two in-person workshops and an online Learning Harvest, we'll move from the organizational to the personal and back into practice: exploring what this changing landscape is asking of our organizations, strengthening our capacity to lead through complexity, and learning alongside others navigating similar questions across sectors.

🌿 October 7 — What Comes Next for Equity and Belonging?

Leading Without Losing Yourself in Complexity and Change

If it feels like every week in your values-driven work brings another urgent decision, rapid shift, policy change or difficult conversation, you’re not alone.

Today’s leaders are expected to move quickly while supporting exhausted teams, navigating uncertainty, responding to shifting expectations, and making thoughtful decisions with incomplete information. It’s easy to find yourself reacting to the next crisis instead of leading from the things that make thoughtful leadership possible: our values, relationships, and imaginations.

Drawing from leadership science and the wisdom of living systems, this interactive workshop introduces the R.O.O.T.E.D. Framework—a practical approach for staying grounded, connected, and values-aligned when conditions become chaotic or tense.

Together, we'll practice how to:

  • Ground before reacting so urgency doesn't make every decision for us

  • Notice what's actually happening within ourselves, our relationships, and the conditions around us

  • Stay connected to the people and relationships that strengthen our capacity to lead

  • Return to values when competing pressures make the right next step less obvious

  • Create room for imagination and adaptability rather than defaulting to familiar responses

  • Move toward intentional action without needing certainty about everything that comes next

Come if you’re asking questions like:

  • Everything feels urgent. How do I figure out what actually needs my attention right now?

  • My team is exhausted and I’m stretched thin too. How do I support others without running myself into the ground?

  • I know what I value, but the practical realities are pulling me in different directions. What do I do when there isn’t a clean “right” choice?

  • We can’t keep doing things the way we’ve always done them—but I don’t know what the alternative looks like yet. How do I lead from here?

You'll leave with:

  • The R.O.O.T.E.D. Framework and practical strategies you can return to during moments of pressure

  • None of us leads through complexity alone: you'll learn alongside other leaders and practitioners wrestling with many of the same questions.

  • Practices for grounding, reflection, connection, values-aligned decision-making, and adaptive action.

  • Greater clarity about how you want to approach a real leadership challenge you're navigating now

This is for:

People managers and organizational leaders, equity-centered practitioners, facilitators, consultants, community and nonprofit leaders, and anyone whose work asks them to make thoughtful choices and help others navigate change. No particular title or level of authority required.

What Comes Next for Equity and Belonging?

Making Sense and Cultivating Possibility in a Season of Change

Many organizations have spent recent years adapting to rapid political, economic, and cultural change. Departments and budgets reorganized. Roles evolved. Language shifted. Equity commitments were challenged, renamed, or reimagined. And yet the need for cultures of belonging and flourishing remains ever pressing.

The season has changed. So, how are we changing with it?

This interactive gathering invites purpose-driven and equity-centered practitioners to make sense of how culture and equity work is evolving, learn how others are adapting, and consider what we want to carry forward.

Through hands-on exercises, cross-sector peer consulting, and practical frameworks, we'll explore the conditions shaping our work, where we still have agency to respond, and what this moment is asking us to cultivate next.

Together we'll:

  • Make meaning of the season we're leaving. Reflect on what's changed, what we've learned, and what is worth carrying forward.

  • Learn across organizations and sectors. Hear how other practitioners are responding to changing conditions, constraints, and opportunities.

  • Widen the lens. Use an accessible ecosystem perspective to notice the people, communities, forces, and conditions shaping our work.

  • Reconnect with agency. Distinguish what is outside our control from where we still have room to adapt, experiment, and act with integrity.

  • Look toward the next season. Consider what we want to cultivate next in pursuit of greater equity, belonging, and shared flourishing.

Come if you're navigating questions like:

  • What do we hold onto when the language, structures, or expectations around equity change?

  • How are other organizations adapting?

  • Which constraints are real—and where do we still have room to act?

  • What might equity and belonging ask of us next?

You'll leave with:

  • Greater clarity about the conditions shaping your work,

  • Perspectives and practices from peers across sectors

  • New possibilities for what to carry forward, adapt, or cultivate next

This is for:

Organizational leaders, equity and belonging practitioners, HR and OD professionals, facilitators, consultants, community engagement professionals, and other purpose-driven practitioners. You don't need “equity” in your title to belong in this room.

Autumn Learning Harvest

An Online Community of Practice

The learning doesn't end when we leave the room.

Participants from both workshops, their guests and others who were not able to attend in person are invited back for a facilitated Learning Harvest, an online community of practice for reflecting on what we've tried, what we're noticing, and what we're learning as we put our ideas into practice.

Rather than introducing more content, we'll learn from one another and our collective learning ecosystem by sharing experiments, questions, adaptations, challenges, and emerging possibilities across organizations and sectors.

Come back with what happened. Leave with new perspectives on what to tend next.
